Boise Florist: Micro Wedding at Wood Farms in Caldwell Idaho
If you're looking for inspo for your wedding next season, check out our recent work as a Boise Wedding Florist at the beautiful new venue, The Venue at Wood Farms In Caldwell, Idaho. This intimate event was planned by Sprout Design and features our florals by Rust and Thistle. Captured by the ever-fantastic Brie Thomason. It's always so fun to work at a new venue and get inspired to do something different and never-been-done so I'm excited to share this all with you...
For this event, we wanted to capture the season by utilizing the colors of fall with a lush, yet modern twist. I challenged myself to work with floral elements I don't usually gravitate towards which was fun and even a bit nerve wracking but I truly love how it turned out.
Included in the floral recipe were Orchids, Gerbera Daisies, Marigolds and Calla Lilies. If you're familiar with our work at all, you know we very rarely use these flowers for wedding although sometimes for local Boise Flower Delivery.
For the ceremony, we wanted to add a bit of floral above the couple, framing the altar so we added a hanging floral piece to the wall above them. Since the guest list was only twelve, we wanted to keep things intimate even though we were in such a large space. Small pops of color were added to the chairs and petals ALWAYS for the aisle.
For the reception, the planner flipped the space and we added a multiple piece centerpiece look. Flowers were made in different size vessels down the zigzag tables and fruits, nuts and other elements like candles were woven in between. I've grown to really love this trend of adding in dimension with different types of centerpieces.
The brides bouquet was so fun! Airy and whimsical and tied the whole look of fall and modern together. I love the way the mini marigolds danced in this bouquet.
Congratulations to the happy couple and thanks to all the wonderful vendors involved in this day. I look forward to working at The Venue at Wood Farms again soon. If you're planning your wedding and are interested in chatting flowers, we'd love to sit down with you. Feel free to reach out to us to check our wedding date availability and to inquire about our services. Check out more of our work here. Happy Engagement season!!!
